It is created by combining natural quartz (90-93% siliceous minerals) with binder polymers (10-7%) which transforms it into a product of exceptional strength and astonishing beauty: quartz surfaces. This versatile material is characterized by its extraordinary hardness (Mohs Scale: 6-7), abrasion and impact resistance and easy cleaning. This makes it ideal for high traffic areas (shopping centres, hospitals, lift lobbies, museums, etc.) as well as domestic environments. Its minimal water absorption and low maintenance characteristics also make it an ideal option for kitchens and bathrooms, as it is also highly resistant to abrasions, acids and oils.

For flooring applications, in case of premises covering large surface areas, it is advisable to apply expansion joints and always leave a free perimeter expansion joint of 5mm covered by the baseboard. The dimensional stability of the material depends on various factors, including ambient temperature, the adhesive used, and the slab or tile size. Changes in temperature can lead to the imperceptible expansion or contraction of the material. These joints (between tiles and expansion joints) allow for possible stresses to be absorbed during the settling of the structure and the settling of the adhesive.
